Simple Pillow Pattern

  Simple Pillow Pattern.

Estimated time:  1.5 hours.

Supplies needed:  2 1/2 yards of fabric, thread, sewing machine or just a needle, seam ripper, ruler.

Back stitching is a simple technique that helps keep seams together.  Simply sew forward about three stitches, then sew back, then continue sewing forward.  Make sure to back stitch at the start and finish.

  1. Measure out two pieces of fabric fifteen inches on each side [or any wanted measurement].

  2. Line the fabric together inside-out.

  3. Sew three sides of the fabric together.  Make sure to back stitch.

  4. On the open side of the fabric, sew a few inches on the left and right, leaving around four inches open in the middle.

  5. Flip the fabric inside out, make sure to clear the edges.

  6. Fill with as much stuffing as possible (or as much as you want).

  7. Hand sew the rest of the pillow together with an invisible stitch.  Make sure to back stitch.

        8. Fluff stuffing.

        9. Voila!  You’ve made a Pillow!  :)
